What it covers
Full tuition, a monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance and one return flight. It is the most generous scholarship available to international students in Türkiye.
Who is eligible
Bachelor applicants need at least 70 percent in their school leaving results, 90 percent for medicine. Master and PhD applicants need 75 percent. Age limits apply: under 21 for bachelor, under 30 for master, under 35 for PhD.
The timeline
Applications open in January and close in February. Shortlisting runs to April, interviews to June, results in July. Registration follows in September.
What the panel looks for
Academic record first. Then a clear reason for choosing your program, evidence you will return and contribute, and consistency between your documents and your interview.
Realistic odds
Around 5 percent of applicants receive an award. Apply for it, and apply in parallel for a public university place and a private scholarship so a rejection does not cost you the year.
